Getting Out

There is definitely an evolutionary learning process that one goes through when one begins to go OOB (out of body). One must learn to move and perceive in new ways different from the physical. Let us start with movement. In the beginning it is difficult to move away from the physical body even when in the state of discoincidence. In the early attempts at OOBE (out of body experiences) there was a strong pull being exerted by the physical. This limited separation distance varied from one to about ten feet. Anytime I tried to move away, it was as if I were tied to a huge rubber band which would snap me back in with the slightest mental relaxation. Through much experimentation I learned that the pull was being created by my spontaneous mental comparisons between my new sensations and my physical sensations. I decided to put this new theory to the test. The next time I created the condition I directed all my thoughts away from the physical. The pull diminished greatly almost nonexistent. With this major obstacle removed, my experiences began expanding to further distances and newer sights. Movement is initiated by walking just as in the physical or flying which is controlled by thought. The flying is not as easy for me to control as I would like. It seems to be directly tied to my time space beleifs. Sometimes l will be flying at a high altitude and have a temporary fear of falling. Immediately I will begin to descend. It then takes an extraordinary effort to stop the falling and resume my flying. Also when more advanced you can fade out from one location as you fade into another.

Nonphysical perception is another facet of the OOBE which one must learn gradually to use and control. Usually, in the beginning, when I would get OOB I would try to see as I was accustomed to seeing in the physical. My vision would be zero and I would try to open my nonphysical eyes but this would partially open my physical eyes. This would give me the sensation of being in the middle of the room but seeing through my physical eyes from the perspective of my body lying on the bed. This would usually increase the pull of the physical until I was reconnected. Then I learned to not to try to open my eyes but to tell myself “I want to see.” Immediately my vision would open up as if though someone was turning on the lights gradually using a dimmer switch. Later I was able to open my nonphysical vision as easily as opening my physical eyes. At first my vision would be hazy or blurry but as I learned to focus my nonphysical vision this cleared up. All other senses seem very close to their physical counterparts.

There is another nonphysical sense that does not seem to have a physical counterpart. This sense acts as some sort of radar allowing you to know what objects are in other areas of your location and out of sight. For example, if you enter a strange apartment or house, you can feel what or who may be in the other rooms. Somehow you know what is there without actually seeing it.

Up to now the information that I have written must bring much disbelief and questions to mind. I do not expect you to believe these experiences without you yourself having them. So, here is the technique that I have developed to create the out of body condition.

Lie down, preferable after performing a C.D.T. and relax for a couple of minutes. Search for or replicate the sleep signal (sensation). Now hold on to the sleep signal and let it begin to engulf you. As you begin to descend into sleep, fleeting glimpses of dream imagery will flash in front of you. Continue holding onto the sleep signal. As you continue your descent, the imagery will begin to appear with more frequency. Soon there will be fewer breaks in the dream imagery. You will know when you are ready when you experience a long continuos dream sequence. At this point you might have or are beginning to feel strange bodily sensations. Examples of such sensations are bodily numbing, vibrations, falling, loud ringing noises, etc. Once in the continuos dream sequence you can initiate a separation.

There are two separation methods I use. One is to float straight up and then away. The other is to roll out as if rolling off the bed. I have found the rolling out method to be the most effective so it is the one I use the most. Once out of the body, the possibilities are endless. You will be free from time and space, enjoy.

i can’t really practice getting out
when i’m trying to have an OBE, it doesn’t work, how hard i try, never get to the vibrations and stuff
but when i have an lucid dream and try to astral project there, vibrations immediately come and so do the buzzing sounds, but then, i can’t get out. a few days ago i had that, i felt like i was going to a tunnel, snapped back, tunnel again, snapped back. woke up. found myself in sleep paralysis. then i’m thinking the whole day, did i have an OBE, but did i forget it?, or didn’t it work at all
